My Career
My career started in 1991 when I released my first solo album, 2Pacalypse Now. I was just talking about the struggles facing black males. The album was sort of underground. My second album, Strictly for My N.I.G.G.A.Z, came out in 1993 and did better than my first album. I would say my second album was my breakout album. People got to see my political and social views.
My third album, Me Against the World, came out in 1995. Many people considered that album one of the greatest and most influential hip hop albums. My fourth album, All Eyez on Me, came out in 1996. many people considered that album my best work. My last album was The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. That came out in 1996 as well. The album is named that because it took 7 days to make. It was released under my new stage name, Makaveli. I got this name after my time in prison. I read a lot of Niccolo Machiavelli, who was an Italian philosopher. He believed you must do anything necessary to achieve success. Overall, I am looked at as one of the most successful rappers of all time.
